Cosmic Cycles
The nature of the Cosmos is cycles, and everything exists within its own cycle or rhythm. As one cycle comes to fruition, the next cycle begins at a higher level of evolution on the great spiral of creation.
We are intimately familiar with cycles on a somewhat smaller scale. A day is one Earth cycle or rotation, and a year is one cycle or rotation of the Earth around the Sun. We have monthly cycles and seasonal cycles.
The ascension process we are currently in the midst of experiencing is the pinnacle of several great cosmic cycles.
An astrological age is approximately 2,160 years, the amount of time it takes for the Sun to move through one complete astrological sign. We are currently at the end of one astrological age and moving into another - from Pisces to Aquarius.
Another cycle is a 5,125-year-long cycle referred to as a world age. The Hopi and Aztecs refer to this cycle as a 'World.' In ancient India this cycle was referred to as a 'Yuga,' and the Maya simply refer to it as the 'Great Cycle.' The Mayan calendar that we are familiar with today was birthed at the beginning of this world age, approximately 5,125 years ago, and is coming to completion in the near future as we begin the next cycle on the great spiral of creation.
The larger cycle coming to fruition is the precession of the equinoxes cycle. The precessional cycle is a 25,625-year cycle, commonly rounded to 26,000 years, the time it takes for our solar system to make one complete cycle around the zodiac.
The precession of the equinoxes marks the journey of our solar system rotating around the zodiac, carrying us through the celestial path of all 12 signs of the zodiac, spending approximately 2,160 years in each of the 12 zodiacal signs. As we cross the threshold of the Milky Way's equator in the 2012 time frame, we not only begin a new 5,215-year-long cycle or world age, but we also complete one precessional year of all 12 zodiac constellations and begin the next, at a higher level of evolution on the great spiral of creation.
Similar to the daily 24-hour cycle which includes half day and half night, the precessional cycle includes a 13,000-year cycle of masculine energy and a 13,000-year cycle of feminine energy. Within this precessional cycle, we are moving from a masculine energy pattern to a feminine energy pattern in the 2012 time frame.
The simultaneous completion of these two grand cosmic cycles (the world age cycle and the precessional cycle) is the pinnacle of our ascension process and it is a rare event indeed. The fact that we are living at this time, when these cycles are converging, allows us to experience a truly extraordinary event.
